Pet of the Week

Patches

Patches is an Aussie and Bassett Hound mix. She is black with white feet and a white chest.

Patches is a 3 year old Aussie and Bassett Hound mix who is great with kids, people, and other dogs. She is very smart, trains quickly, and is house trained, crate, leash, some obedience; such as long stay and sit etc. Patches needs a fenced yard,an indoor couch (yes, she is a couch dog) and an owner who likes to take lots of walks and would like to teach a dog a few new tricks. If you would like to give Patches a forever home, contact the HSRC at 629 - PETS.

Message from the Humane Society of Randolph County:
Did you know that an unsprayed female dog, her mate, and all of their puppies and their puppies’ puppies, if none are ever neutered or spayed, add up to 16 puppies in 1 year, 128 puppies in 2 years, 2,048 puppies in 4 years, 67,000 puppies in 6 years? Please spay and neuter your pets.

Visit the HSRC website to see more animals looking for their forever home, www.hsrcpets.org.

All animals adopted from the Humane Society of Randolph County must be heartworm (dogs) and feline leukemia (cats) negative. All animals are spayed or neutered and up-dated on vaccinations (parvo, rabies, distemper, etc.) prior to adoption. Adoption fees are $85.00 for dogs and $70.00 for cats.

All cats are required to be indoor companions. All dogs are required to be kept indoors or in safely contained outdoor areas. Please remember the adoption cost covers spay/neuter fees, vaccination fees, and testing fees. These fees greatly outweigh the adoption cost.
